MyCleanMac Privacy Policy

Nothing Is Collected

MyCleanMac has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs. It does not collect, transmit or sell any information about you or your Mac. There is nothing to opt out of.

Everything Happens Locally

Scanning, sizing and removing files all happen on your Mac. Nothing about your files leaves the machine. The app keeps its own settings, ignore list and cleanup history in your Library folder, and you can read or delete those at any time.

The One Network Request

The Updater module can ask an installed application's own update feed whether a newer version exists. That request goes to the developer of that application, not to Ideas From Rick, and it is the same feed the application's own updater already uses. Your IP address is visible to that server as with any web request. If you never open the Updater, no network request is made.

Permissions You Grant

macOS may ask you to grant Full Disk Access so the app can see Trash, Mail data and other protected folders. It may also ask for your administrator password when removing system-owned files. That authorization is handled by macOS itself; the app never sees or stores your password.

Website

Downloading MyCleanMac does not require an account or an email address. This website may keep ordinary web server logs, as any website does.
